Building a relationship with clients, working closely with them to determine their needs and ultimately finding that perfect home or negotiating a sale are certainly things you can expect from me. But this is just the beginning. I want my clients to know that real estate is no longer a simple matter of buying and selling.
As your Home Equity Planner, it’s my goal to get you thinking about your home as an investment. I want to educate clients about the importance of building equity, increasing saleability and always thinking about the return on your investment. Your home could be a retirement plan, a savings account or perhaps a second income. This is the approach I take to real estate.
Will I make money?
This is a question buyers, especially first timers, need to be asking themselves. Is this home a smart investment? Are there minor repairs you can do to increase value? Is there rental income potential? From the moment we begin the search for your home, I am there every step of the way offering advice, information or simply listening to your concerns. I will help you find a neighbourhood with good schools, put you in touch with a trusted home inspector to ensure your chosen home is a sound investment and provide comparables so you know exactly what you should be paying. This is all part of my service.
Sellers need to consider a few important questions as well. What minor projects can you do to increase value before listing? What renovations will not always reap a return on your investment? How far should you go with staging? Should you rent out your home instead of selling? I know that word of mouth travels fast and I am honoured and grateful each and every time a referral comes my way. I am committed to providing one-on-one service and dealing directly with clients each and every time they call.
Whether buying or selling, I want clients to know that my service does not end the day the sale closes. I am here to answer questions or offer advice two weeks, two months even two years after you buy or sell your home. I want to be your realtor for life.
